Discover Your Purpose: A Concrete Formula to Finally Figure it Out
Discover Your Purpose: A Concrete Formula to Finally Figure it Out
Life isn’t always easy.
In fact, for some people it can be painful.
Did you know there are about 13 million people that were diagnosed with cancer in 2014? Each year there are approximately 290,000 victims of sexual assault. And according to the National Institutes of Health, Department of Veteran Affairs, 70% of adults in the U.S. have experienced some type of traumatic event at least once in their lives. This equates to approximately 223.4 million people.
These statistics don’t include the unspoken cases.
I am not telling you all of this to depress you. I am not trying to scare you. What I do want you to know is you aren’t alone.
And good or bad, trauma and adversity in some ways is a fact of life.
At some point in your life, you will face the task of recovering, rebuilding, and rebounding from adversity. This may be a small event or circumstance. Or it could be a large ongoing situation you deal with for many years.
You may be going through it right now.
I have been through hard times. Especially as a kid and young adult. I grew up in a small rural town where conformity was the norm. There wasn’t a lot of room or acceptance for boys like me.
There was nothing inherently positive about the hatred and violence I experienced. But I did recover. And I did grow as a person.
Our lives don’t have to be ruined by the trauma we have been exposed to. It can be used as a catalyst for growth.
To help you turn your adversity into creative growth, I have created a FREE EVENT at the Center of Spiritual Living. Join me on Wednesday, October 21st from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. for a soul searching evening. I will share my story and how I turned pain into purpose.
To attend the event you need to RSVP here.
Also, I know that following your dreams sometimes can be determined by the size of your bank account. I will be giving away a $1,000 grant to one audience member. There are no strings attached. All you have to do is fill out the form below. Tell me how this grant will help you live your purpose. And then show up that evening. It is that simple.
Never underestimate the value of one person who has learned to live well. One person who knows how to love can change the world.
