In order to live consciously, we have to first slow down! Enjoying simple pleasures in life takes time. Here are some suggestions:
- Instead of a quick shower, take a long, hot bubble bath.
- Turn off the television and talk to your loved ones.
- Spend an hour each day reading inspirational material.
- Play your favorite music.
- Don’t watch the news before you go to bed at night.
- Consider a question that you are trying to answer, and “sit” in the question. Don’t rush to find the answer. Just “be” in the question.
- Let yourself feel boredom. Create space in your life where you have NOTHING to do!
- Relax.
